Oxygen Regulators
Oxygen regulators are components of oxygen cylinders that are used to deliver the right amount of supplemental oxygen to individuals who are prescribed oxygen therapy. As the name specifies, they regulate the output of oxygen from 0 to 25 liters per minute that depends upon the prescribed oxygen needs. In many terms, users can change the oxygen flow from 0 to 15 liters per minute. However, the regulators that reach a higher flow of 15 liters per minute are usually found in a hospital setting.
Oxygen regulators are attached to oxygen cylinders that allow refilling of the tanks with an oxygen tank refilling machine or from a durable medical equipment company. They are meant to simplify oxygen therapy.
