Worthington Purchases SCI
(Columbus, OH) • The Worthington Cylinders business segment of Worthington Industries has purchased Structural Composites Industries (SCI), a manufacturer of high-pressure cylinders. "With this acquisition, we continue to execute on our strategy to grow the pressure cylinder business, with a focus on broadening the portfolio beyond its original, core markets," says Worthington Industries Chairman and CEO John P. McConnell. SCI's revenues in 2008 were about $36 million.
